ISLA DEL ENCANTO "The Enchanted Island" Nationals IN Rincon Puerto Rico

There wasnt much to say about the race because there was only 23 motos including all the pros. It was more of a mini vacation with some racing then a ABA national. Nick Lucas pulled a 5th and a 6th in the Apro mains and then hit the beach for the rest of the days!

NBL Grand Finale

The NBL Grands started off last weekend with practice and a pre-race on Friday night. If you're not familiar with how the Grands works, Saturday they only run the first two rounds of motos, then on Sunday they run the third round and all the qualifying rounds after.
On Saturday the real action kicked off with a UCI race for Elite Men and then first day of the Grand Nationals for the amateur racers. Nick Lucas 19-24X had a little trouble due to a gear change that left him spinning and spinning and not going anywere he ended the first day with a 4th and a 3rd in his first 2 motos. With a new gear on Sunday it was a new good day walking away with a first in the third moto but the day turned to the worse when he took a hard crash in his 1/8th knocking him out of the race.
Joey Albright was there supporting the Madera/Profile team, he is still not back on his bike yet from his crash at his home track in Kingston, NY which left him with a broken back, ribs and elbow, but we will for sure see him at the Disney Cup in Orlando Florida on October 21-23.
Cousin Joey also gave away his NBL title winning bike to the winner of the 15 challenger class. Mike Carruth did a story on it so look later today for the story behind that.

Euro Trip

Throwing up some photos from my trip to Worlds and Belgium. The site has been down so I haven't had a chance to work with it the past 2 weeks.

I flew into Copenhagen, Denmark to race the World Championships. Practice on Tuesday and Wednesday went awesome, track was dialed even though it had been pouring rain for a few days. Race day was Thursday and it went well untill Quarters when  a French rider took me out. My elbow swelled up like a golfball.

But the trip wasnt over just yet after the worlds. I drove back to Belgium with Toon Jacobs to stay and ride with him and Arnauld Dubious for the next week. We had a great time riding a few different trail spots and just relaxing in Holland, Belgium and Germany.

Sadly Cousin Joey couldn't make it because of his injury the month before (broken back, ribs, and elbow).
Hopefully Joey will be back for the last NBL Grands in 3 weeks.
